It’s hard to believe that the 7 foot tall and 90 pound women that strut down the catwalk are actually real human beings. Without ever indulging in, let’s say the apple crumb cake that I just had for breakfast, they really are real people. On Monday, October 21, they were acknowledged as real people when the New York governor asserted young models and gave them the same protection as young performers. It was sponsored by two Democratic state senators and the Model Alliance.
Now, models under the age of 16 will be protected. Coco Rocha has been a huge supporter of this movement and joined Sara Ziff, director of the Model Alliance, to celebrate this new improvement.
